Don’t Fear Your Mountains is a unique exploration of the barrier between man and mountain, grounded in fear, pierced by courage. Produced in the UK, the film follows the life-changing journeys of several people afflicted by acrophobia and the ways they conquered their fears to enter the majestic domain of hill and mountain. Including the very personal journey of the filmmaker himself, Anders Brogaard, from his attendance on a renowned Derbyshire fear of heights course to the gradual ascent of his own personal and physical mountains. Featuring interviews with adventurers and specialists, Don’t Fear Your Mountains is an epic study of the struggle between man, mind and rock.

The journey beyond starts with a single step.

"Acrophobia is a mental mountain and not an easy one to climb. It has nothing to do with will power, it is not vertigo. Rather, it is an all-consuming irrational fear of heights. A problem which a large percentage of the worlds population deal with on a daily basis. It can be a crippling experience and many sufferers are hugely limited in their everyday lives."

"Anders Brogaard is an international fashion photographer whose work has been in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and on CNN. He has been on screen for ITV's "The Complete Package", RTL5's "Holland's Next Top Model" and Peruvian television. In May 2015, Anders decided to leave his hectic life in the big city to begin a new adventure in the Scottish Highlands, overcoming stress and a very bad case of acrophobia in the pursuit of his dream of becoming a mountaineer and film maker."

The main purpose of the film is to inspire others to push their limits and overcome what stands between them and their dreams. The secondary purpose is to entertain and show new angles of how a documentary can be put together.

"We all have goals and dreams in our lives,

Let us live up to our true potential and climb those mental mountains, along with the real ones."
